DCL-4 Descender

The K-RIG DCL – 4 is an easy to operate Variable Friction rope descender.

This device is the result of over 20 years of using devices like the Goldtail and Rack. The DCL takes performance, usability, and safety to the next level.

The built-in attachment swivel is a game-changer for stunt riggers, this allows the operator to tune the device in exactly the right line position for a line of sight to the performer, easy access to the gates. Having the ability to change the direction of operation both for stunt rigging and on rope operation, allows for fast changes when maneuvering around obstacles.

The press-button system replaces the old style threaded wing nut, which can open during operation.
The press button gate offers single-hand operation, freeing the operator to maintain safeguard and control of the line at all times.
The press buttons are surrounded by a raised ring to prevent accidental opening during use. This is especially good in environments where the device can come in contact with uneven surfaces. Caving etc.

The DCL can be threaded either direction into the device allowing for even wear. This is a new feature over the current version.

The DCL – 4 has 4 holes to increase and decrease friction. On big descends with long lines two or three holes can be uses. As the weight of the rope decreases, friction can be increased by adding the fourth hole.
New design rated top rigging plate to attach safety prussic, carabiners or support slings. Side knuckles make it easy to keep cords and prussic’s to one side or the other.

For stunt rigging the swivel allows the operator to stand in the best position and orientating the device for safe operation, keeping moving ropes away from the gates.
Perfect for setting end mark knots.
